Sabbath Meeting at House of Yeshua
Our Sabbath service commences with the sounding of the shofarim at the House of Yeshua. One elder offers introductory remarks and leads the fellowship in a time of worship, song, prayer and praise.
Each week we rotate the teaching responsibility, and one of our elders expounds on the Torah portion or delivers a teaching based in the Scriptures.

After service, we share oneg shabbat. During this fellowship time we eat from a variety of food prepared by the group. We observe the Biblical dietary instructions given by YHVH in the Torah; we are grateful for His guidance and eat only those meats He declared clean.
After the meal, we have an open discussion time; we discuss topics ranging from the Torah portion, to any issue of interest to the group in keeping with the spirit that the Sabbath is holy, and set apart from the things of the world. We gain greater insight as we share the Scriptures and discuss our understandings.
We acknowledge that the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament) is the foundation of all Scriptural understanding. Also, that the TaNaKh (The Torah, the Naviim (the Prophets), and the Ketuvim (the Writings)—the Old Testament and the Gospels and Apostolic writings—New Testament, clearly instruct us to guard and keep the Sabbath (shabbat in Hebrew), the seventh day of the week—Saturday.
We recognize that we are to set apart the shabbat from the six days of work. It is to be holy; the Scriptures clearly instruct the followers of YHVH not to buy, sell, or work on the shabbat. Father gave it to us as a sign that He is the Creator of all things, that He sanctified the shabbat, that He is our Elohim and we are His people, and that He delivered Israel out of Egypt by a mighty outstretched arm. We acknowledge Him in all of His mighty works by keeping the shabbat day holy.

“Behold, the days are coming, says YHWH,
when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah
. . . I will put My law in their minds,
and write it on their hearts;
and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
Jeremiah 31:31,33b
